Ruth’s Hospitality Group: A Fine Dining Company


Publicly traded on the NASDAQ, under the ticker symbol RUTH, Ruth’s Hospitality Group is considered as the world’s largest fine dining business. The company was created in May 2008 and is currently headquartered in Winter Park, Florida.

As a fine dining business, the company focuses on seafood restaurants and American steakhouses. The creation of the company is the result of the acquisition made by Ruth’s Chris Steak House of Mitchell’s Fish Market and Columbus Fish Market brands. The two were once owned and operated by Cameron Mitchell Restaurants. With the buyout, the company rebranded to reflect the diverse offering they now carry. There are five brand names under Ruth’s Hospitality Group: Ruth’s Chris Steak House, Mitchell’s Fish Market, Mitchell’s Steakhouse, Columbus Fish Market and Cameron’s Steakhouse.

There are over 160 locations that the company operates under these five brand names. Their operations cover the United States and in different locations around the world.
