Summify: The First and Best in Social Media Data Curation

Previously known as ReadFu, Summify is actually a plug-in created by Mircea Pa┼čoi and Cristian Strat, two Romanian-born Google and Microsoft interns who then developed their idea at Bootup, in 2009. In March 2010, private beta for Summify started.

Its initial success allowed Pasoi and Strat to negotiate a deal for the free app to be released on the Apple App Store on July 2011. The app allowed its users to access new summaries from their iOS devices.

On 19 January 2012, Twitter acquired Summify. The service was consequently discontinued on 22 June 2012.
