Communication Made Fun onLINE

Communication over the internet was elevated to a whole other level with the emergence of mobile chat applications where users can send messages, emoticons, emojis, and funny looking graphics called stickers to convey their message. They can also use these applications to make voice and video calls without worrying about call charges.

One of the companies that are making a name for itself in this industry is LINE, a subsidiary of Japan’s Naver Corporation. The application was launched in 2011 and was one of the first to introduce stickers to its users. The characters the company created for the stickers became so popular that stuffed toys, t-shirts and other merchandise bearing the images of these characters have been made available for sale and are selling quite well. Another innovative feature of the LINE application is the ability of users to download LINE-exclusive games on their mobile devices and play these games with other LINE users.
